Happy moment yesterday. David came up to the farm with his girlfriend, and Amanda with her fiancee. We hooked up the pony and cart and gave them all rides. The looks on Amanda and Ala's faces driving this little pony was priceless!!! The look on DH"s face watching our children enjoy the farm was priceless too.

Lots of happy moments this week. As I posted earlier today is my 39th anniversary. Looking forward to dinner at our favorite restaurant.
Thursday got a call I was hoping for. I have been cast in the theaters Christmas show "Inspecting Carol". I will be learning to do an English accent. ;D I will get my script tomorrow.
Thursday night I was asked to do the solo in a anthem I really wanted to do the solo in.
Last night I spent an hour talking to my best friend, very satisfying conversation. We are discussing getting together for coffee soon. I never thought we could be close again. Little by little we are getting there.
Going today and getting baby stuff for mission kits.
Lots of happy but also a few really bad moments. I am focusing on the good!
Blessings.

This is one of the happiest moments I have had in some time. I have longed for this for so very long I still can't believe it happened. for those of you who have been through everything with me you will understand. My best friend is the one who gently pushed me into community theatre shortly after Sean died. It was a blessing. He had quit speaking to me shortly after I had cancer surgery in 2003. At our class reunion this summer he came up and spoke and we have been able to talk on the phone several times since. I have so wanted him to see me act in a show since I have felt he was responsible and today that actually happened. He had said he thought he would be able to make some time somewhere but I thought he was just talking being nice. He didn't come to the last show so I thought he was just putting me off. You don't know what it meant to me to see him at the Meet & Greet right after the show. ;D ;D ;D I got a lovely hug too which I never thought would happen again. Truly a glrious rainbow happy moment. ;D

I can't believe that none of us have had happy moments since Dec.!!!! We need to get some of those posted to encourage us all to look deep and find the good things that are out there for us.
I'll start. First one is right on top but you will need to go to MAL to read my post on a incredible weekend! It was the most appropriate place to post on that. I will just say that I had just the best time meeting Vicky, Barb and Brody, Darlanne, Jill, Wendy (who I had met before), and Angie. Absolutely incredible weekend!
Next happy moment, our furnace went out last night. Now that may not sound too happy but if it had to happen, what a blessing that it did while dh was home! We were also blessed that the heating company was able to get here early this morn and it now is fine. A sensor was dirty and kicked off and wouldn't reignite. All is well now and while I am sad that our tax refund will now replace what we had to spen I am also happy that we were able to have it taken care of.
Another happy moment is anticipation of spending some time at my dd's tomorrow. She will have her son so I will get to spend some time with Alex. We are hopefully going to China Buffet and then back to her place.
Okay. Who else would like to share a happy moment? Pull one out and bask in the warmth!!!

I was able to drive to Utah with our youngest daughter, Stacy and visit my oldest daughter Christine. Christine is married and has 4 children ...Joelle 7, Liam 5, Max 2 1/2 and Dane 6 months. The kids were so much fun. I love being a grandmother. We left on Monday and drove back on Thursday. It was a quick trip for 10 hours of driving each way..but it was worth it.
I am also thankful to have time to scrapbook and organize all my pictures. I have not worked since Jason died last May. What is amazing is that financially we are doing fine. What a blessing that has been. My husband is supportive of me being off work as long as I need to...even retire now if I want.

I was reading my paper one morning and looked up to see this image on the ceiling of my dining room. Of course, I believe that my Ally-Teeny was saying, "Hi!" to me. ;D

Happy moment today. I have accomplished much in the kitchen. My back is giving me fits but I now have a lovely pan of homemade gingerbread in the oven. A hot lemon sauce will be made later to go with it. ;D
Another happy moment, a lovely warm little kitten who just wanted a snuggle for a moment. Those moments don't last long at this stage but they sure are nice.

the best happy moment in the last year happened just this Saturday. i babysat a little boy for over 3 years. from the time he was born. last year his mom and dad moved to Florida. now this child is the grandchild i will never have. he calls us gandy and poppy. anyway, we got a letter this weekend from them. they apologized for not being there for us through this ordeal (how come people avoid you? you can not catch grief). they promised to not do that anymore and are sending pictures of WesLee. he colored a picture for us which we framed and put where the whole world can see it. we are trying to plan a trip to see him. pray that this works out.UPDATE: i haven't heard from my little guy yet. it has been a couple of weeks. in my letter to them i asked if we could come see them and i have had no response. i am scared that they did not mean it that we were important to them. i have read the one letter over and over. i run to the mail each day to see if anything has come. do you think they were not telling the truth? am i worrying over something i have no right to....i mean he isn't really a grandchild to us. we just feel like he is the grandchild we will never have now. am i being silly to want something i have no right to?

I had the happiest day today. My youngest son David, who is in Iraq right now, called this morning while I was driving to work. We talked for about 20 minutes. It was so wonderful to hear his voice. I don't think anything could have brought me down today. ;D
