Oh the wonderful fragrance of lilacs! I can't wait for mine to bloom! Wonderful that Em is becoming a "big" girl. ;D Happy moment for me today. DH got home this morn and we have a lovely weekend ahead. I don't have to be anywhere! ;D I love being on the go but am just happy to have this time together. Another happy moment. A co-worker asked if i ever sell my afghans. She definitely wants a full size one. Yep! I will die with a crochet hook in hand.

This needs to be back on top so I will share a happy moment. ;D This weekend is my 40th class reunion. We have a casual evening tonight and I have been looking forward to this. This morning I got a phone call from a girl here in town that was my best friend in high school. We have stayed semi in touch but she is working 2 jobs and remarried a couple of years ago so haven't kept up real well. She called me at work to see if i was going and did I want to go with her. ;D More fun to have someone with you that can be like a grounding. She needs someone to give her strength as she faces a very bad relationship from 10 years ago and I need someone so I can feel stronger and better able to cope with my former best friend being there. I am so excited! We plan on going for something to eat afterwards so we can just chat then we will go tomorrow night to the dinner/dance. Her new hubby will be attending that also. Who else is having a happy moment. They are blessings in our days.

Well.................I don't know if you would call it a "happy moment" or not, but my attorney is very relieved that he doesn't have to "bake me a cake with a file in it" . Denise

I got a teaching job! I will have my first classroom in the fall. I will be teaching 4th grade. It is a great age, but there will be 33 students in the class! It will be nice to have my income finally. Hopefully we can get ahead a little and take care of all of the things that we had to put off until I got a job. Wish me luck!

Thanks, Denise! Whowee is right! Good news that you don't need the "special cake" - truly a happy moment!
Hey, Joan - Em peed in the toilet and the lilac bloomed! Great! It is great to see life continue and happy moments that keep us going.
LindaC - have fun at the reunion. Tell us how it went.
I planted a butterfly bush and my DH saw a butterfly the very same day. She (Ally) hasn't been back in a week, but I know that she knows it is there. Every time I see a butterfly I think of our children. They are now floating free. Peace to everyone.

My happy moment today is remembering that although it has only been 8 1/2 weeks since Robert died....I had 14 1/2 years with him here...and that he is in Heaven with Jesus..has a new body and is "really" living for the first time in his life. From profound handicapp to eternal newness! Amen! Now that brings a smile to my face. Love to all...Autumn.

Ron and I are getting ready for a trip to the beach............ We were supposed to leave this morning, but my brother laid our patio today so we waited until he was done. We are staying with our friends in Ocean City, MD...so the stay is free, but gas is ridiculous!! We will be back Wednesday or Thursday..... I wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July..... Denise

It has been an eventful week. One of my happy moments was after 2 1/2 years I had the joy of talking to my former best friend. We talked for over an hour and while I think he will never let me get too close at least we have had some communication and I must settle for that.
Happy moment for today, dh is home and we are getting ready to go to the library, pharmacy, and grocery. We had lunch a little earlier at our Saturday place. We have been to Wal-Mart but didn't spend much time there today.
Blessings,
