I also have a Butterfly bush, I was given it this year for Michaels anniversary. It has gotten huge!!! Do you prune yours??? Linda...I am so JEALOUS!!! Who are you going to meet? Where are you going? Is it old friends or new ones??? Really I am very, very happy for you!!! ;D Love Pam PS Happy moment...I have been shampooing all the carpets in my house and they are looking really nice!!!

This is an odd happy moment.... DH & I have worked very hard this summer (mostly DH) putting up all new fences around the pastures at the farm. Last night we had a severe storm. A huge tree was struck by lightning. By some miricale it manged to fall and not hit a single section of fence! Had it fallen any other way it would have done a lot of damage. So, now it will be firewood!

Happy moments today. Relaxing and knowing that dh will be here for most of tomorrow. Anticipation of hamburgers and hot dogs grilled out today.

The joys of a hot shower with the luxury of a lovely shower gel, Bath & Body Cotton Blossom. So very refreshing and I remind myself there are others who don't have this pleasure available to them.
The happiness of completing a blanket and the joy of starting a new one.
The happiness of realizing that I DO have the words to my solo memorized. Now I just need to keep going over it and getting it out of singing mode to performance mode. I have 19 days left!
Any other happy moments today?

Enjoy Linda - seeing my grandbabies tonight, eating my daughter's chili - she makes a great one - having wheat free chocolate cake! Hoping they will bring it all over here as their place gets so hot with no air conditioning.

Happy moments today. Talked to former best friend for about a half hour. He sounded so happy to be back teaching. I am hoping that he will be able to come see the show next Saturday. It is such a blessing to at least be able to occasionally talk to him. It is Friday night and I have nowhere to be. ;D Funny how it is such a blessing to have nights occupied with seeing friends, working on show but also such a blessing to have a free night. I am going to water my plants and then slip into a nighty, fix some spaghetti and have a Margharita. Might even watch some tv. Blessings,

Going to see "The Pajama Game" this afternoon at my second theater home. Getting to see some old friends that are in that show as well as fellow actors from my home group. Lots of good hugs in store! ;D Then this evening dh and I are going to a Mexican restaurant called Abuelos. Been to the one in Kansas City and loved it. I can't wait to have the spinach enchilada! So very good!!! ;D And happy moment in church. Seeing our miracle baby baptized. Gus was born at 25 weeks I believe and weighed 1 lb. 12 oz. What a blessing!!! He is just precious!

Happy moment for today. We had our last rehearsal which was dress and tech this evening for our big show Saturday night. We have had different accompanists and i just have not felt my song was going as well as it should. The other night a 18 year old played for me, have performed with her before. The gal who was to play I have only sung with twice. The director said i should ask Lindsey if she would be willing to play. I asked and she is. Tonight I did my song with her and I will tell you it makes all the difference. The director said it went really well, timing was good and we just gelled. I feel much better about this. Rehearsal went very well. I think I'm ready now!! ;D

Happy moment today. Just got back from an hours massage and where I usually have lower back pain after, have none. I haven't had a massage since started with this osteo stuff.
Happy moment when I received my crockpot and cookie cookbooks from Reiman today. These are the people who do A Taste of Home and Simply Delicious. Have glance through and boy are there some good things going to be going on in my kitchen.
And now starting a pot of chili and plan to curl up with my book and later crocheting. ;D
Another really happy moment for me that most people won't understand. I am singing along with the soundtrack to "Rent". I hit the high c and came out pretty well. I have been upset because with this hernia I don't have the breath support I should have, had lost a couple of high notes. I am assured I will be able to get them back. Best friend was right as usual.
Blessings,

Happy Moment today
In a few moments I will be going to the library and picking up #12 in the stephanie Plum series. Oh the anticipation!!!
The day is absolutely glorious, sunny, leaves are changing. God is in all His glory.
We have done our shopping and stopped and got a Yankee car jar for the car and one for the semi.
A crockpot with pork chops, potatoes and carrots, onions cooking away. Smells heavenly! ;D
Any other happy moments on a glorious Fall day?

A major happy moment yesterday. My former choir director whom I haven't seen since she moved to Texas over 5 years ago got married. The wedding was here and was the most beautiful I have ever seen. It was an all music evening with the bride playing a double piano duet with a prominent choir director/organist. She also sang the Mozart "Laudate Dominum". There were solos by other top singers in this area and I got to hear my old organist play a piece I have longed to hear him play again for years. It was a glorious evening.
Happy moment today was being at the ordination service for a member of our congregation. He is going to be a wonderful minister. He and his wife had a baby in Feb. born very prematurely, 25 weeks I believe. Baby Gus weighed just under 2 lbs. He is doing very well and was baptized a few weeks ago. A double blessing. It has been a very good week.
Top it off with a real dinner of cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, creamed corn and later (when we don't feel as stuffed) Sara Jane's Hot Fruit Salad. Sara shared this recipe with me last year and we love it.
