Hi all, I'm here with another whinge about life, so please bear with me for a bit while I get it off my chest.
A local newspaper is running a competition for "Neighbour of the year 2013" and Nicky has entered Pam and Geoff, his guardians. There is a heart warming story and photo in yesterdays paper. How nice, you might think, but wait, I also had a phone call from Geoff to tell me that Pam had "kicked him out", refused to give him his wallet, car keys, or anything else, including clothing.
A row had erupted over him seeing his real son by a previous marriage and neglecting to inform his present wife, namely Pam. Apparently the argument became physical, on both sides, and he was charged with assault, bailed, and forbidden any contact with Pam or the two young boys, Nicky and Pams son Josh.
He was able to go with a police escort to collect personal belongings, she apparently had removed his credit cards from his wallet, but I assume he didn't find that out until later. I have only heard his side so far, she wouldn't talk about it last night because of the kids being there.
The thing that really peeved me off was that there was no mention in the paper of Nickys Uncle Joe taking him in, because that is what Jennifer wanted, but there was a load of rubbish about the caravan park community "rallying around" to help. They are interfering busybodies who fawned all over Nicky at his mothers funeral so I couldn't get near him, they made me feel like a stranger at my daughters funeral.
When I spoke to Nicky last night, he said this competition was Pams idea, how egotistical is that?
Poor Nick lost his mother, now he seems to have lost the only father figure in his life.
I am angry about so much at the moment that I rang the paper to talk to the reporter who wrote the article, she said the part about Joe was in it, but her editor removed it for "lack of space" but left in all the other irrelevant stuff.
I asked to speak to the editor and, guess what, she isn't in today!. She is supposed to ring me back tomorrow, and she'd better have a good reason for what she did, I'm in no mood to be messed with right now.
Sorry this seems to have turned into a novel, but you girls have been on my journey with me before and I know you will listen and not judge me, Thank you all so much, Janet
