I've been feeling "off" since Sunday. This is about the time my BP went up with DD and stayed up, getting incrementally worse each week. First reading at my appt today, my BP was 160/98. After laying down, it went down to 130/80. Better, but not great. Spilling protein and gained 7 lbs in 2 weeks, but fingers and ankles aren't swollen. Baby passed NST with flying colors, so that is good. They're running PIH labs and should get results tomorrow. Also doing 24 hour urine. I go back on Thursday. I have already been spending 20-22 hours out of the day in bed. Now I am on strict bedrest at least until my appt on Thursday. She said if I walk in with a similar BP on Thursday, I'll probably be admitted until baby comes. I am 34 weeks tomorrow. She said that even though we're in good shape being 34w tomorrow, they would prefer to get me to 36w3d (not sure what's significant about 36w3d vs 36w or 37w).

Please keep us posted!! 37 wks is technically term; the closer you can get, the better baby's lungs work, etc. You might try taking an epsom salt bath; it's a natural source of magnesium which can help lower blood pressure. It's worth a shot, any way! Good luck!!!

Appointment today went a little bit better. At least I got to come home! Got to see baby when they did an impromptu BPP, too. My BP was slightly lower, but still high. Protein was lower, but still present. I was able to lose 2 lbs of water weight in 2 days, so I'll take that. My labs came back OK, fortunately. I am definitely dealing with PIH/PE and so now it is a matter of how far we can get before me or baby becomes too sick to continue with the pg. Or until baby comes on its own. Even though it is preterm, at this point if I go into labor, they're going to let me go ahead and deliver. Too much going on with me. So, I'm thankful that all looks stable. I go back on Monday for more labs in the morning and then an appointment in the afternoon. I'm hoping this baby comes next week . . . I really want to go into labor on my own and not be induced for once. At least now I've got the hospital bag packed and the car seat installed and clothes out of storage for the baby. We're ready, now we just wait. I'm on strict bedrest until the baby comes, so DH is going to see if MIL can come help with the kids and house and meals. We've got friends helping with meals as well.

Just seeing this thread now. Glad your appointment the other day went better than the one before. Praying that baby is able to stay put as long as possible and both you and baby stay healthy. (((hugs))))

Just hanging out in bed. I'm ready for this to be done, but trying to savor every kick and prod. My BP was still high at my appt yesterday. Baby passed the BPP, but had to be poked and prodded in order to do so. This is unusual as usually the baby is very feisty when we do an u/s. My labs still look OK, so we can just continue the status quo. I have an NST on Friday, so we'll see how that goes. I've got some friends coming over tomorrow night to visit me while I'm in bed, so looking forward to that.

Ben was my little one who had to be really prodded and even "buzzed" in order to wake up and move around for my NST appointments (prior to labor, of course lol). Boy did it freak me out, though! He was just too comfy and laid-back for mommy's liking. But he was just fine.
Glad you'll have some company tomorrow. I know how frustrating and lonesome bedrest can be.
(((hugs)))) and continued prayers for you and sweet babe.
