So I don't post often but have a question and thought you girls were the perfect ones to ask. So I have been using a opk to help me know when I ovulate this month. I started to get what looked like positive test starting cd 12. It's wierd because they were positive morning and afternoon on cd 12 then looked negative that evening. On cd 13 it looked negative in the morning and positive mid day and now it is cd 14 and it is positive looking this morning. So I'm confused why some times of the day it is positive and other parts of the day it's negative??? We bd on cd 11 and cd 12 thinking I ovulated but now I don't know if that was the right time and should we bd today since the test looks positive again? So confused? Any advice or knowledge about this would be great!!Is it normal to get test results like this?

I used 2 different brands of OPK a while back and from what I remember they recommended testing in the afternoon before 7PM, testing at the same time each day and holding my urine for as long as possible, like 3+ hours. Oh and always testing at about the same time each day.
So maybe some of your readings could be on how concentrated your urine is or isn't. Plus in my experience I don't know if those strips are 100% trustworthy?? Either that or I didn't ovulate for quite a few months??
The other thing that was confusing to me was reading them unless I saved all of them and compared them to each other each day. The time that I did that I could definitely see how the line got darker and then lightened up after I had ovulated.
The other thing that I noticed with those strips was that they stressed me out more. I was so worried about what they had to say, now I just try to recognize the signs. I know the basic timeframe and I have BMS every 24 or 36 hours from about day 10/12 till after I feel I've ovulated. Fortunately I'm one that can usually feel it.
The other thing I can maybe recommend is trying different brands, maybe even two brands in one month and see if they correlate. And make sure to read the instructions, my sister tried them and did them all wrong and was frustrated with her results.
Sorry if I sounded so scattered, mind is kinda wandering today. HTH
