4th birthday since Melody's passing; a little over three years since she's been gone. Well folks, you know how it is. 
And the criminal charges against the guy who was convicted of murdering Melody were abated. Her killer had filed for an appeal of the murder conviction, but he was stabbed to death by a fellow inmate before his appeal could be heard. By law, if a person is killed while still going through the appeal process, the charges are erased as though the crime had never been convicted. How do you like that for justice? Not!!!
