I was wondering if you can devolpe low progesterone after already having a child? My son will be three soon and we have been trying since last July. I got pregnant with in oct and miscarriged at 6wks. I did find out that I have hypothyrodism which is now normal. But I am wondering now if I have low Progesterone too? My GYN said he would test me for that in less I have another miscarriage!!!! I trying to prevent that from happening again. What should I do? Should I go to a RE?

Sorry hon, yes. Low progesterone can happen at any time (esp. if your body had other changes you mentioned- though not necessarily). -Some doctors don't "believe" progesterone has anything to do with anything. Making you wait is entirely preposterous!! When you find a dr. who will test, make sure it is during the luteal phase when you test.
