Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've been on. I suffered my second m/c last month. I had one in February 2011. The doctor said I can start trying again after I get my second normal period. I just got my first one so I am thinking about trying again. I was about 7 weeks along and, just like last year there was no heartbeat. After my D & C, the tests showed that there was no fetus. There was a sac and a placenta, but no fetus. My doctor said that this is something that "just happens." I don't know if that is what happened last year, because I miscarreid at home. Now, my doctor thinks we should try again naturally one more time and if it GOD FORBID happens again, she'll send me to a specialist for IVF or whatever they feel is necessary. I have a choice to make. I am wondering if I should just go straight to the fertility doctor or if I should risk it and try one more time. I know I have to do what I feel is best, but I am interested in getting your opinions and if anyone else here has had to make this decision. I appreciate any feedback. Thank you so much! <3

Hi, I'm very sorry to hear of your miscarriages. My advice is don't wait for testing if they're willing to do it now. As someone who has been through five losses, I can assure you that it gets harder every time. If you can possibly head off another heartbreak, please do. Good luck, and keep us posted!

I have seen some ladies have a loss and go on to have their rainibow baby the next year. I had 3 children with no problems until my first loss my first pregnancy loss at 19 weeks. I had a blood disorder that i didgnt know about.- That was five years ago. Right after my loss my dh lost good insurance. So i did little dr. intervenetions. Utntil my second loss. In total i have lost 4 babies. - I say go by your heart. And if you can afford to go it wouldnt hurt. Age is a factor for me now. - but Im keeping faith in God. - Im very sorry about your losses. Praying for you to be one of the ones who goes on to Mal very easily. ((hugs))

Personally, I would go to the RE and have some testing done now to see if there is an issue. If there is nothing, GREAT, you are good to go. If there is something, then you know what you need to do to move around it. Of course, insurance and payment is always a big part too and will depend on what you can afford to do. I started with a Maternal fetal specialist after my second loss and then went to the RE from there.

I say that you should go with your heart, but if you can go to the specialist and maybe in the mean time have fun trying... really hoping you get some answers and a very sticky baby very soon.
