(((((hugs))))) I wanted to just let you know that I'm thinking about you this week. I know Jared's birthday is coming up in a few days. Every time I see a pinwheel I think of Jared. I was wondering what plans you have this year?

Thank you!!!!!!! You are so incredibly sweet to be thinking of us! I was thinking pinwheels again, but wish I could think of a new idea as well. How can it be that I don't know how to properly celebrate my precious boy because I don't know what he would be into at this age? This grief journey is so unbearably hard in so many millions of ways.
But it helps so much that you remembered and to have his significant life event matter. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you so much for asking. For the second year in a row, Jared's birthday celebration with our families at the cemetery was rained out. That was disappointing. It feels less powerful to celebrate at a later date. And then I took a red-eye last night, so it was hectic when I would have liked to just have been focused on Jared's birthday. But I am okay I guess. I just have to figure out when to reconvene everyone. I want to feel like I am honoring him properly. But it is never enough. Thank you.

It is so great to hear from you! Thank you so much for thinking of Jared with your pinwheel, that makes me so happy. I did buy some new pinwheels to be decorated for Jared's celebration, as well as some decoratable garden stakes. But they will have to wait a few weeks until I am back in town and can put them to good use with everyone. I love that Jared is associated with pinwheels-- that's a happy thought. And at least some people IRL remembered this year. That is something. What a life this is.
