Its been awhile!
SO many thing have changed since I was last on here...
Guess I will start with my husband walking out on me and the babies...Yup you read that right!
On August 1st I came home from taking the kids to the park and he was packing his clothes. He said that he couldn't handle the stress of being a daddy to two kids that where so little and he felt like he was "losing himself in the process of becoming a family" He last saw the kids the night of Halloween. Since then he has pretty much disappeared. I get a check once a month in the mail from him for the kids.
I am now in the process of see what I have to do for a divorce and to get full custody with him having limited visitation.
I finished school in September! And now working full time as a dental hygienist and loving it!
My sister moved down here to watch the kids while I am at work. She is SO amazing with them and such a blessing to have in our home.
I'm sure that the ladies that remember me are wondering how my little ones are doing!
Ryan: He is almost 2 1/2 and I could not ask for a better little boy. He is so loving and sweet. He is in part-time preschool and is loving it! He is FULLY potty trained...which makes me SO happy! He is talking like crazy. He loves to have books read to him and sometimes "reads" to Ruby. He loves the zoo. We got a 1 yr membership in June,so he get to go with his auntie and Ruby go as often as the weather allows them to (we do weekend trips to so I can go). He still has a crazy attachment to his blankets. The thing that breaks my heart the most though is at night time when he walks around the house looking for his daddy and calling out for him...that about kills me and I am clueless as how to deal with it. I usually just give him extra snuggle time when that happens.which is anywhere from 2 to 5 times a week.
Ruby: She just turned 9 months old and is on the go! She is crawling like a champ and starting to pull herself up on anything she can reach, including people! She is always smiling and laughing. She thinks it is really funny to empty the kitchen drawer that has the towels in it and throw them all over the floor. lol. She is starting to talk a little, she says "mama" "num num" which means bottle or breast and "ba" which is what she calls Ryan. She doesn't really seem to be to affected by James leaving. She was still pretty little when is left. She has become very attached to her auntie though, which my sister absolutely loves! She also loves her baby food too! She will pretty much eat anything that you put in front of her.
Never in a million years would I have pictured my husband walking out and me and his babies. My heart breaks more for them then for myself. A part of me wants to put the divorce off and see if he has a change of heart, but then there is that part that is telling me "its been months and months and he still isn't back, its time to move on"
Even with everything that is going on I wouldn't have done it any different. I love my babies more then anything, I couldn't picture my life without them. They are what keeps me going everyday. Things can only get better from here on out.
