My husband and I were so happy when our two home pregnancy tests turned out positive. I didn't expect to be pregnant so soon and I was so happy! I began telling my sisters and my parents and then my best friend. My husband who is a very scientific guy and very realistic said to me, "You shouldn't tell so many people because it's too soon." But I couldn't keep this wonderful secret a secret anymore. I found out I was pregnant on the night the earthquake shook Japan and with the horrible Tsunami. I had mixed feelings the next day. I was sad for all of the Japanese that were suffering but I was happy about my pregnancy. It is said that a child born in the year of the Rabbit which it is, is very lucky. However on St.Patrick's day, yesterday I wasn't so lucky. I didn't find the four leaf clover. Instead I saw blood. It didn't stop and I went into emergency. Exactly one week from when I found out I was pregnant, I lost it. It is my first pregnancy but it won't be my last. Still I need this time to just grieve. I guess a baby born in the year of the rabbit, wasn't meant to be.

So sorry that this has happened to you, especially on your first. this seems to happen to a lot of people, maybe the body needs a dress rehearsal? Try not to over think things, just relax and try not to panic. My grandmaother thought she would never get children when she lost her first, then had 10 kids!

Thank you Marianne for your comment. I will not give up, panic or over think things. You're right that it happens to a lot of people. I will try to keep my spirits up. Your grandma had 10 kids! Wow, good for her!

Yes, we are from good Maltese catholic stock! My other grand mother had 8, so every family event is pretty big
