I'm having surgery tomorrow down yonder. I'm also having a little exploratory surgery as something didn't "feel" right to my surgeon. It won't be a colonoscopy (I've had those before). But I will be under general anesthesia.
Please no word on FB as I've not shared with many people (especially our church congregation and my family). I'm trying to keep it low key.
My surgeon is also an oncologist. He thinks the issue has to do with a muscle down there. But him even mentioning the "C" word, of course, freaked me out a bit. But even to dh I've tried to downplay it. I know that I'm more stressed out about it than I thought I was. I've had horrible heartburn the last two days and I don't normally have heartburn unless I'm A. stressed out or B. pregnant. *sigh*
I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM. Surgery is at 11:30.
TIA for your prayers.

UPDATE: I am home. Sore, but home. The doctor removed quite a bit, but said that nothing looked cancerous. On some pretty good pain meds but still feeling pain.

ANOTHER UPDATE: I am healing and feeling better. Not quite 100%, but well enough to cook for Thanksgiving. I'm going to start trying to wean off of the pain meds.
Glands are still a bit swollen, but definitely not as sore as yesterday. Headache is gone! No fever, so I'm probably just fighting off infection.
Incision site is still bleeding, but I wouldn't call it "excessively bleeding", so I haven't called the doctor about it like the form from the hospital said I should if it was "excessive". If you could pray that the bleeding stops soon, I'd really appreciate it.
I have to make a follow up doctor's appointment in about a week.
But all in all, I am doing much better. Thank you again for the prayers.
