My DH and I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 months now. I have had Ultra sounds, I took a home fertility test, and my lab work is fine. My obgyn is very accommodating for all of my concerns and everything is normal on my end. My husband had a clog of sperm come out a couple weeks ago, so I ordered a home sperm check test, which he did last night. We followed the directions exactly and it came back negative, which means there may be a problem with his sperm, it says to see your doctor. My question is, what kind of doctor? Should I go to my obgyn, or should I just go to a urologist or fertility specialist? I don't know what to do. DH is very upset about the result, I wonder if we should test again before calling doctor, but we did follow all the instructions exactly. I hope that if there is a problem, it will be a simple fix. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I would start with your primary care doctor and ask for a referral to either a Urologist or Reproductive Endocrinologist . Your primary doctor can order a semen analysis, but an RE or Urologist would likely use more sophisticated criteria. (((hugs)))
