I'm involved with a special needs board for a local group. They consider Logan to be special needs because he was a preemie who initially had some minor delays. I've had people (IRL) tell me he isn't special needs. I still consider him to be here because he was for the first year of his life. We may find a problem at a later date. Also, sometimes I need the support of people who have been through similar experiences.
What do you consider to fit in this category? God Bless all of you. I know how hard you work to deal with things and people.

Hi and welcome...to me...any child who needs some extra care for whatever reason has "special needs" As a premie I am sure you are always looking at milestones and things to see how he is doing. Wecome and I hope to hear more about your little man Logan. How is he doing now? What is he up to......?

I agree with Monica and by virtue of federal law a preemie under 33 weeks is considered a child with special needs.
Anyone is welcome to post here and I'd love to hear more about Logan.
