So, my DH and I have a dilemna. We always end up going on vacation to the same kid friendly places, but this coming spring we are going to go away for a few days just the two of us. The dilemna, I'm having trouble figuring out where to go.
I thought I would ask you ladies for ideas. We will be going in early March and by then we will be tired of snow, so we need warm ideas that we can do in about 5 days. I look forward to hearing what some of you have done.

What about a cruise? We have been on two and loved them both. The ones the we went on were 7 days but they do have shorter ones.
Or what about an all inclusive resort the in the Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Lucia....you get the picture. The great thing about the all inclusive is that everything is included. On a cruise, your alcohol and drinks other than tea and coffee are sometimes extra.

for our honeymoon we went to Cuba, and spent a week in Varadero... it was the most wonderful time, the weather was perfect (mid february) and the people were incredible. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

If you want to stay in the US, or you don't want to spend too much, I'd recommend spending time in Arizona. March in AZ is perfect - big blue skies and temps in the mid 70's every day. We've spent some time in Tucson, and I can't say that the city itself has much to offer, but there are a lot of spas in the area. Phoenix metro also has a lot of resorts, and the surrounding cities (like Scottsdale) are fun for browsing. From Phoenix, you can drive to the south rim of the Grand Canyon in about 4 hrs. I wouldn't recommend Vegas in March because it's just too unpredictable. I was there 2x last March. The first time, the weather was gorgeous, but the second was windy and cold. SoCal is also unpredictable in March because Nov.-April is our "rainy season." HTH, and I hope that whatever you choose, you and DH have a wonderful time.

Niki, U.S. citizens aren't allowed to travel to Cuba....unless they have relatives there

My fav getaway is to Pigeon Forge, TN in the Smoky Mountains, also Gatlinburg, TN. It is so beautiful there, nice weather, and cozy in the little cabins which I highly recommend. You feel like you're in the wild staying in a cabin but can go into town to feel the night life. They have a really cool dinner and show at the Dixie Stampede. Next time I go I would like to see the Elvis show. www.mypigeonforge.com/what_to_do.aspxHope that helped

Oh, I love Gatlinburg. I've been there at least six times, even my honeymoon. My mom just went to the Bahamas two months ago and she had a blast. Her friend has a sail boat and they sailed from island to island, and slept and ate on the boat. She said the locals are very welcoming, and there are US citizens who live on some of the islands they visited. They showed them around the islands and even cooked for them one night. Then she went to Atlantis and the pics were so pretty. She went down the underwater tube and she loved it. You can actually see sharks while in the tube in the pics she took.

I was wondering how anyone got to Cuba. Then realized it was Niki. LOL. Next year for us is Virginia Beach.
