I need to get more organized, and I'm in need of an idea. Here's the deal,,, I started scrapbook when i was pregnant, and got all the supplies. Made it to Adriana's birth, but then life got busy, and mommy got too tired to keep up with it. Now I'm 14 months behind, and don't know what too do. I'm actually pretty overwhelmed by all this time that has passed and close to 50 thousand pictures i took so far...lol..yes..hundreds a week. It won't be easy picking out my favorite ones, editing them a bit ,and put the pages together. That's my plan. Can anyone come up with some kind of short cut ,or give me a few ideas how to make it simple and easy.So i can have her book done in a few weeks (if I'm lucky ). Sam

I'm sure, like every mother, that you want to throw all five billion pictures in there! When I scrapbook, I try to arrange it by special events, or by a theme. So, you could edit down to 4 or 5 pictures from special events, like her first birthday or first steps, or maybe include one or two pages of some of your favorite pictures of her just looking adorable. As hard as it is now to pick favorites, try doing a quick sorting, by shuffling through pictures and making split second decisions on whether to consider for the scrapbook or not. Using a reasonable amount of pics will help keep your scrapbook short enough to not drive you crazy and be something she'll want to keep looking back through in the years to come!

Sam, I'm not sure if you are aware but there is software that you can purchase to organize and then print your pictures. The one that we have is Aunt Abigail's photo album. My DH organizes our pictures every year that way and then prints the sheets out, put them in photo albums and gives them to family. Here's a link to their website www.auntabigail.com/Home ,they also have sample pages to look at.

I fell way behind on Tabatha's too. I decided not to stress myself out by trying to do a scrapbook according to week/month, for the most part. Instead, I am doing her more by theme: two pages of her messy eating face, one of her sledding, etc. It's a lot less stressful doing it that way. I like the idea of doing a quick sort. Do not spend too much time looking at each photo or you will drive yourself crazy! The photos you don't use for this scrapbook can always be placed in a photo album or can be placed in another smaller scrapbook to give Adriana when she is older. Another thing you can do is buy already embellished pages where you just add photos. I know Creative Memory has a lot of those types of albums/pages. I imagine others would too.

I agree w/ the other girls, sorting pics by themes. I started a wedding scrapbook becuz our photo album was just getting dusty and boring to look thru. I went by theme, like the ring pics, parents pics, siblings pics, limo pics, cake pics, etc. I picked my favs (or the ones that would fit) and put the rest in the back on the scrapbook in plastic photo refill sheets. Just get a pot of coffee on and put on your fav music, scrap till you can't feel your legs
