GRIEF RETREAT - Any Interest?

Dear SG Members,

In the fall of 2008, we had our first ever Silent Grief Retreat. It was an amazing weekend! If you doubt me, then please be sure to chat with others who attended. I will be contacting them to chime in on this discussion.

It has been suggested to me several times since that retreat, to put together another one, and now I'm asking YOU for your input. Are you interested in another Grief Retreat? Spring of 2011 or Fall of 2010 or 2011? Does location matter to you? Suggestions? I already have two lovely locations (one in the NE and one in the South), but I need/want to hear from you!

Help me out by giving me some input, please. Thanks so much!

I'm so excited you are considering another retreat!! The PA retreat in 2008 was awesome, and I met people who quicky became dear friends. It was also such a joy to meet people I have known from SG for years. The whole experience was amazing.
I hope a LOT of people show an interest.

I might be interested, depending upon arrangements and location. The south would work best for me.

I'd love to come, of course when and logistics would be a big factor, South would probably be better for me, and Spring of 2011 (as I am due in October of this year and wouldn't be able to travel)

I love that you are thinking about putting together another retreat, I was so disappointed that I couldn't make the last one!

I would be interested in coming, I was supposed to attend the last one but something had come up so unfortunately I was unable to make it. For me the NE would be better. Im due in January so I think either time would be fine.

I'm pretty sure that i'm out for this next retreat, as i'm due Feb 2, 2011, but if for the 3rd retreat we could have something NW I would be VERY interested!

I would love to, I'm voting for the NE, I would love to say fall 2010, but if we set something up for 2011 I think people could plan for it better & save up the $$$$ to attend.

So far I'm hearing two locations: South and NE. So, my thinking right now is that we're probably going to hold TWO retreats!

The "when" and exact locations will come after I get more people who are showing interest. I'm also hearing spring 2011 a lot. I'm thinking fall 2010 is going to be too soon to plan, lock in a place, etc.

I'd LOVE to go to an SG retreat. I think anytime in 2011 would work best for me, since I wouldn't be able to fly this fall (as long as everything goes well with this pg). I'm open to going to either place. I'm not picky. NE is closer for me, but it wouldn't be a big deal to go south. I really hope this works out!!

I'm so excited about all the interest! Spring or Fall of 2011 is probably best; it would allow people to save their pennies. I think the location down here will be available, spring or fall, as it is way too hot in the summer to enjoy much.

If you have reservations about attending, I can tell you that each participants needs were met. There were tears, there was laughter. It was hard work for short amounts of time, and then the mood lightened up. I hope you will consider attending. You will be glad you did.

I agree spring 2011 would work better - I'm due in Nov and wouldn't be able to attend in the fall. I would say I am a little closer to NE but south would probably work too depending on where in the south it would be. Thanks Clara!
