I would be interested in a "Central" location like Kentucky as well. Summer is good, no school for the kids!!

Dear SG Family,
I didn't forget about you.......I'm listening and will be making some calls, checking out places, available dates/times/etc., for our retreats.
For those who went on the 2008 retreat...several of us are able to get together informally the weekend of August 20th, and we will also be discussing some of these locations.
I'm excited about this, as I know the real value of these retreats. You honestly can't put it into words; you have to experience the friendship and healing to truly understand how meaningful this time together will be.
Thanks so much for your input. If others have an interest in attending, please continue to let me know what area would work for you and also which season you prefer -- fall or spring of 2011.
Thanks! ;D
Love, Clara

I am really excited about this and hope to attend. Kentucky is only a couple hours from me but if given more time could travel to the North.

Hmm, Atlanta as an airport hub in the south is a great point. Stone Mountain is right near there, wonder if they might have any appropriate facilities? It's also not too far from the North Georgia or NC Mountains . . .
(Depending on location in the South, I might be able to make it!)

Spring 2011 isn't going to be great for me, so I pick Fall.

I vote for Fall 2011. Obviously because I am in Southern California, I would prefer a location closer to me. Considering that the west coast is now not an option, I guess I could do a central state.

Hi all. been a while since I've been here but you are always, always in my prayers. The South would be a great place to have the retreat. I'm game. Fall or Spring it really doesn't matter. Summer is the busiest time for us and really can't get away then. Just want to say, I went to the first retreat because I wanted to meet Dru and Clara face to face and was looking forward to getting to meet others from cyberspace. I got to meet Heidi and she is a real blessing to all who know her. Dru and I had a wonderful time driving from GA to PA. She did all the driving and we both did the talking. I definately didn't sleep in the car. Not with (Senior MOMENT) ? saying make the first available U Turn. Never had ridden with one of those. While I at the retreat, I got to not only meet Clara but sit at her feet and listen to words of wisdom she had to share with us all. I met many other sweet families who have lost children. One of my favorites is Paula and her girls. There is time to listen, time to reflect, time to yourself. Time to relax. Let someone else worry about the food and getting it on the table. You come to a retreat and you will leave blessed beyond measure. YOu don't want to miss it.

I live on the WC and would be interested in going. Although, I would not necessarily go to the one closest to me, but would be more inclined to go to one where I would meet certain people I have made a connection with that I may not otherwise get the chance to meet. I think a central location would be good!

I would be very interested in the opportunity to meet members of SG! I already feel so much understanding and support from the women here, even in the short time since I joined. This board is truly a testament to the best parts of humanity--women who, while in the midst of their own tragedies, are willing to reach out and offer support and comfort to others who are grieving...I would be honored to meet some of these women in person, and to meet you, Clara, as well. It has been only 10 days since I lost my precious baby, Lucas, my first child. Many members have reached out and offered their support and understanding, and I appreciate it more than I can say. I vote for the North-East! Or the South--travel would probably do us all good! Love, Sara
