Got external flash for my NIKON D60 yesterday. Made my day. ;D ;D ;D(God knows i needed it,,,it was hard, hard day ).... I love to take pictures, i know I'm nowhere near pro, but this will turn my photos into nicer piece of work. It's SB900 ,and cost us $500 but I'll tell you it's totally worth it. I have been messing with it last night for a while, and just love it. Now if i can get a few tips from photo girls Danielle ,and Leslie....that would help a ton.
Had to share this, and hoping to post a few pics today.
love,Sam

;D ;D ;D ;D OH MAN HOW COOL!!!!
I have *heard*, not to point flash directly at your subject, to bounce it off of a ceiling or do a 90 degree angle so the picture isn't too flashy.
Have you heard of clickin moms? It's a photography website, I pay 8 bucks a month, but they have a NEVER ENDING supply of info on EVERYTHING photography! They have a light section which could TOTALLY tell you how to use that nice new flash!
Have fun playing, and remember, practice practice practice!

In an effort to get us used to using this new board for talking about miscellaneous things (such as this new camera flash), I've moved this post from Moms After Loss to this place.
I'm hoping this will help us to keep the support boards for use as "support for child loss and related topics" and use this newly created place as a spot for talking about all kinds of other things that are super fun and somewhat unrelated to the grief topics of child loss.
Thanks so much for understanding and helping me out with this! ;D ;D
Love, Clara

Congrats Sam, you will love it! I agree, do not point directly at subject, always bounce off ceiling or back wall. Also pointing up at a degree will help.
