Dear Friends,
I am always torn by using the word "welcome" because I know that this means you are here because of a deep, painful loss in your life. However, I am so thankful that you have found this place of healing from loss that we call "Silent Grief", and it is always my hope and prayer that you will receive the support you need to help get you back into the flow of everyday life -- finding your "new normal" following loss.
Please be sure to visit the articles section of the site, and make use of the information found there. Also, be sure to register for your "Hope for the Day" email.
Just as a sample, I am including a "Hope for the Day" to show you what you're missing if you have not yet registered:

Where do you go when you need comfort? Who do you turn to
in your sorrow? Far too many times we try to “handle it on our
own” and sorrow has a way of swallowing us up, so-to-speak, until
we feel like we have fallen into a pit of dark, lonely grief.
We have so many choices, and we need different kinds of comfort
and reassurance at different times and moments in our lives.
Sometimes we need the quiet and comfort of nature. We need to
see the sunrise and the sunset, and we need to hear the sounds of
birds singing, crickets chirping, and frogs singing their night time
songs of peace and joy.
Sometimes we need other people. We need hugs, and lots of them.
We need comforting, uplifting words. We need to see the smile
on the face of a friend. We need to feel compassion!
Other times we need to hear the voice of God, and only God.
We need to clear our minds of all clutter and concentrate of Him
and be reminded that He is still in control of our world that
seems so out of control.
Where are you in your sorrow today? Don’t sit in the deep
pit of loneliness. Reach out. Make a choice to get some help.
Walk among nature. Call a friend. Better yet, make plans to
meet a friend and share a meal together. Talk. Cry. And,
yes, allow yourself to smile and laugh – even in your sorrow.
And, always call on God. He is never too busy, and His love
is greater than any sorrow we will ever know!
Comfort is all around us. Reach out and get some comfort
and hope today! --Clara Hinton

“Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I shall call
upon Him as long as I live.” -Psalm 116:2
