First a little background...my husband and I have been trying for 6 months to get pregnant with no luck. Now I know on average it takes up to 12 months before you need to see a fertility doc. I am 30, he is 29. I have a son from a previous relationship. He has no children. He said it has always been a fear in the back of his mind that he wouldn't be able to have kids. So we decided to try a home sperm count test.
I got a home test from babyhopes.com and we are going to test his sperm count this week. Just want to rule it out yano? He doesn't have any kids. We were married recently and I have a son. Has anyone here used a home kit to test sperm count?
Update...
Okay so we did test 1 of 2 last night. His sample needs to turn the same or darker blue than the reference color. His was lighter. We do test #2 in 3 days. Whether it is negative/low or positive/high it says to still consult your physician because the results were different. I don't even know where to start...family doctor? Or go straight to an internal medicine specialist?

You'd be best off going to a Reproductive Endocrinologist. Good luck, hon.

I would agree with Heidi or ask your ob/gyn to get a sperm count done. They can fax a lab slip to the lab. I don't even think he would have to go in for an appt. Good luck and I hope you get preggo fassssssst.

I agree with Heidi. Even my obgyn had my dh go for testing. B/c of his cancer his is too low for us to have bio children at this point anyway. My dh's "problem" is cancer. But it could be as simple as hypothyroidism, too much caffeine, hormone imbalance, etc. He definitely needs to see a doctor in my opinion.
