I'm so sad.
I'm going to miss it. It has been so nice to talk with others that are going through the same things.
Sophia is starting to sign some more and is trying to say more. I can see her blooming. I can only hope that I'll be able to remember all the things to help her along.
She'll continue to get her special ed help so that's good.

I hope you were able to make some friends and will continue to get together with some of the other parents.
Sounds like a great group.

I am so very sad.
We ended last night reading books to our kids and doing singing as a large group. I didn't want to leave. It is an awesome program and I wish it was available to more areas.
I found out more about the Edwin Eddy foundation that supports Interact financially.
Edwin Eddy was a local man who was very wealthy. He was also a very bad stutterer. (sp??) When he passed away, he left behind a substantial trust fund to specifically fund local programs in our area dedicated to speech and communication.
I obviously never met this gentleman, but what an awesome gift he has left behind to benefit the good of so many.
Anyhow, my main focus now is to improve my sign skills so that she continues doing well with that. She still receives her special ed assistance and so I know we'll be okay.
She's excited for Christmas. She's driving me crazy by robbing all the ornaments off the tree. ;D, Wouldn't trade that for the world. We just made sure all the stuff she can reach is unbreakable. She keeps running around the house with ornaments. She signs Tree, tree, tree. Signs tree on. She is really starting to bloom.
All those months I had worried so much about her, and now I see the little person she is becoming. She's still behind, and that's that. I'm not quite as stressed about that. But she's trying so much harder. And I think it helps that we have been blessed enough to go through this program that we have learned how to encourage that and continue to help her a long.
I know we still have a long ways to go. I'm not sure if she'll ever be caught up. I don't care. I love her from her head to her toes.
Just a little update on us ;D

It sounds like she is really thriving. ;D It is too bad your group had to end. My own students (I teach EC PreK) were soo excited when I showed a picture of a Christmas tree and are all talking about it in their own way. ;D Enjoy, enjoy
