I started bleeding heavily at 4 weeks 5 days this morning. I know you aren't supposed to use tampons during a m/c, but what about a diva cup? www.divacup.com/ Also, it is necessary to see a doctor? I'm not having any pain/cramping, just heavy bleeding. Thanks

OH MY GOSH!!! Not you too. I had a m/c on july 5 at 4 wks 5days. And I did use a tampon. It did not have any bad side effects, so I guess it was alright. I have never heard of a "diva cup", so IDK, but I am sorry you are even going thru this. I will send you LOTS of ((((((HUGS))))

I am so sorry for your loss.(((((((((hugs)))))))))
If your m/c would be classified as a late AF, then yes you can use a Diva cup. I had an early m/c at 4 weeks 3 days and it was considered a chemical pregnancy and a late AF.
TMI---The problem with using a tampon during a m/c is that you want the baby to exit the body as soon as possible to avoid an infection. A m/c that early wouldn't have anything like that because the baby only briefly attached and then AF came.
I didn't go to the OB because I knew what had occurred and there wasn't anything that could be done.

Yes cups are great choice to choose for heavy bleeding. I m using coupe menstruelle cup, which are comfortable and prevents heavy flow. You can also use these cups. For more details you can visit www.cupissima.com online.
