Wow, I am so glad that SG is back up... I feel like I am back in the first trimester with worrying so much this week... mostly over 2 things... first, that this baby doesn't move around that much, seems like everyone I know who is due around the same time as me says baby is moving all over the place! I think I have felt him move once or twice today and that is when I really got still and poked around for 5 or 10 minutes. Second... I have been itching for the past week and a half, thought it was just dry skin but lotion hasn't really helped that much and there is no way my skin is still dry after all the lotion I've put on it in the past week and a half... it was even worse today and I finally called my dr and was told that it is normal and to take Benedryl and see if that helps... but I have been reading online about a condition that happens in pg where your liver doesn't function as well and so bile builds up and is harmful to the baby... and causes an increase in stillbirths... so now (on top of the itching!) I am worried about that.... I've been nauseous and dealing with a cold (which I think is finally over today!) and hardly sleeping... wow, I am sure whining a lot today aren't I? Anyway... I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for next Wednesday... I guess I am back to hoping desperately that everything will be okay at each doctor's appointment... it's just been a rough few days and I am once again just trying to get through each day until my next doctor's appointment... I could use some prayers for everything to be okay and for me to be able to calm down because all of this is really affecting my relationship with dh too. And I am having a really hard time dealing with all of the "how's baby doing?" questions from people... because they completely don't get it when I look at them and say "I don't know"... Thanks for listening and prayers... Melody

Aww Melody you're sure having a time of it.
*big hugs*
If it's any comfort to you. My son wasn't much of a mover either. Like you I had to poke and pry.. well guess what.. at 13 1/2 years old he's the same today!
I keep telling dh if the house caught on fire we'd have to get the boy out first....I got 3 girls 1 boy. He's about as laid back as I've seen anyone.
Even asked me a week ago "is it April?" "Is what April Jeffery" I kinda felt confused by his question "the month... is it april?"
o son what world are u living in.... ITS OCTOBER!
As far as dry skin.. I've been using Johnson & Johnson 24 hour moisturizing cream.. after trying 4 different lotions it is the one that finally did something.
I am glad to hear your cold is passed (or passing). Pregnancy can be very stressful in it's own right.. on a relationship and on the mom. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that everything eases up for you and ur dr's appt goes wonderfully smooth.
God Bless,
Darlene

Oh Melody...the worry never goes away does it, darlin?! :S If it's any consolation, this one is incredibly quiet too...Michael's movement was "average" I guess...Gabriel started moving in the womb about 17 weeks (that I could feel) and never stopped...like never...the child was constantly moving it seemed! This one has his/her active moments, but it's nothing like either of my first two kids! Is the itchy dry skin accompanied by a rash at all? I can't remember if you said or not. PUPPS (http://www.allthingspregnant.com/articlesR.html) can be a common pregnancy occurance...I'd definitely check with your doctor at your next visit. It could be as simple as dry, stretched out skin! We are heading into winter (and dry skin) and I don't know your stretch mark situation, but I've got some that have itched so much I've actually made them bleed by scratching them so much! Hoping that everything is peachy keen with your little guy and that the doctor gives you both flying colors next week!! (((HUGS)))...it'll be okay! One day (hour!?) at a time! Always, Valerie P.S. You might PM Becca...she was dx with PUPPS with Elizabeth...she could probably answer questions for you.

(((Melody))) just wanted to send you a hug. I'm sorry you're having a rough time right now. I keep reading that some babies like to move around a lot and others are more mellow. Someone told me that babies who don't move and kick as much tend to be easier once they make their debut. As long as you're feeling a kick or two just to let you know he's in there, that's what really matters.
I'm sorry you're so itchy and uncomfortable! Hopefully things will improve. And baby will be here before you know it, right? Just know that you're not alone (especially now that SG is back!)
Love and good wishes, Micky
