I am pregnant after having a m/c, so I've moved from the m/c board, to TTC and now over to PAL, but it gets a bit overwhelming with all of the women at all of the different stages of pregnancy on the PAL board. It's hard to keep up at times! What if there were 1st trimester, 2nd trimester, 3rd trimester boards? That way women who are due around the same time could compare, discuss current symptoms/milestones, etc. It's just a thought! I know it might seem like too much, but it's just a thought.
Let me say though, that I love PAL and try to keep up when I can, and seeing women 35 weeks is inspiring!!!

It's a nice thought...but I still prefer it the way it is. I love talking to all the women in different stages of pregnancy, but still find it pretty easy to find the other women due around the same time as me.

Oh, I'm not suggesting getting rid of PAL!!! I just think having trimester boards would offer extra!

Maybe some sub-boards within the main topic. I'm a member of several other boards that have that layout.

don't think there can be a sub-board within a main topic and personally having been around sg for a long time the diversions that Clara has now and way more than needed. The old boards were smaller amounts of topics and replies were made more often.

I've seen and tried to participate in a board that was divided like that and it seemed to exclude a lot of women.
I really like having the one board, PAL. I can read all of the posts from girls farther ahead of me and learn what to expect for my pregnancy.
I also really like how everyone supports everyone no matter what trimester we're in.
I think dividing the board like that would only cause a lot of women to leave. I know I would, I would feel way to excluded, more so than I do now.

I'm not on PAL, so I hope you don't mind the suggestion. You could keep the PAL board for everyone, but then do something like the "Belly Rubs" thread split by trimester.

I don't think that it would work...people form bonds with people in different trimesters...then they would move to other boards. It is also good to get advice from people who are further along... I think that splitting the board would fragment what exists over there. There are a few people who have formed 'daily conversations' based on their due dates...and I think that is fine...but keep that at PAL. Just my opinion

Thank you all for openly discussing your suggestions because that really helps me when trying to make good decisions about the boards. We do have the ability to have sub-boards, but when I've visited other sites that do this, they become more exclusive, the posts are fewer, and there seems to be less bonding. I'm still open to more discussion about this, though, so......if any others want to add to this discussion, please do. Thanks! Love, Clara
