We've finally kicked that blasted sinus infection. The doctor is pretty sure we've tapped out on being able to use Amoxicillan and we'll have to use stronger antibiotics on all future antibiotics as well.
Our sleep issues are somewhat improving (well, I guess she's got us trained). We ended up taking Stacy's advice and put a bigger bed in her room so we can sleep in her room with her when needed. I've been having to lay down with her every night to get her to go down. I plan to slowly back out of that (sit on her bed, sit by her bed, just out the door). She's just not ready for those steps yet. We also changed the time of day she is getting one of her doses of steriods and so she isn't quite so active at bedtime (though I really think she'd stay up until midnight if we let her).
The weather has changed here yet again and she is definately showing the effects of it. She was working harder at breathing today (higher respirations but not wheezing, yet). I know she's not feeling great because she was quite fussy today, which really isn't her nature. She's with my mom which that in itself has me worried (mom just got out of the hospital on Sat. from a bout with E.Coli). She's only about 5 minutes from the hospital and my dad was going to stick close to home if my mom needed a break. My sister is also just minutes away. I'm pretty sure everything will be okay, but I think it is a mother's nature to worry. I'm only working a half day, so I'll be back with her before she should need another breathing treatment.
She has an appointment on Friday, which I'm happy about. I'd like her to at least be seen before the weekend to make sure we are on the right track. When she was hospitalized the last time, it was after a very similar weather change and they feel like that set her off.
