I had to go to the er on Saturday due to some kidney stones. I went to the same hospital that was very rude to me and told me that ,' We don't deliver babies here! Why would you even come here?!?!' on the night I went into labor with Max. (I figured they would help since I was bleeding to death, but they ended up sending me on my way to drive myself to another hospital where I almost died! ) When they tried to send me the bill for the visit back at the time I called them and told them that I was NEVER gonna pay the bill because what they did and that my baby had died due to their negligence. they told me I had to make a formal complaint, which I did, and apologized profusely!!!!! I didn't want to go there, but my dr sent me anyway. And of course they put me in that exact same room ! Well, when we walked in I noticed: An infant warmer. An infant scale. And wrapped in plastic was the 'cart' for resuscitation on an infant. I asked the nurse,' I thought you didn't deliver babies here...' and she replied: 'A few years ago we had a woman make a formal complaint because she came here with a placental abruption and when we sent her away her baby died. So now we are set up to not only deliver a baby but to do a crash c section if necessary! We've done 3 since the complaint was made!'' So my Max has hopefully saved the life of at least 3 other babies.....way to go boy!I am, yet again, so proud of you! Love and peace, xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Barb

I'm so sorry you had to go through such a tragic loss of your son. But know that his life will save many other babies. I'm sure there are many lives that Max has touched, saved and changed because of your complaint and the hospital's change.

What a great legacy for Max! I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't have bothered to follow through with the hospital the way you did. Great job!
