Well, I'm kind of stressing about the cost of all of the new medications Avery is on. It looked like the total this month was going to be about $250. Well, I was looking into our mail order pharmacy option and noticed that one of the scripts should have been $15 for a 30 day supply from a retail pharmacy. Well, we were charged $15 for a 5 day supply. We would have ended up paying $90 total. I called the pharmacy and asked why they only dispensed a 5 day supply when the script was for 30. Apparently, they only had a five day supply available. When I asked why I should be re-charged my co-pay again and again when my insurance allows a 30 day supply they couldn't answer. They talked to the manager and I can go tomorrow to pick up the other 25 days worth (they are ordering it for overnight delivery) and I won't be charged. That is awesome, especially considering we've been put on this medication indefinately and the pharmacy is over 20 minutes each way to get to (it's the only one in the area that carries this medicine).
