My u/s today showed that it's nearly time. I did the antagon shot this evening. I'll have labs in the morning, the RE will call with a time for the trigger shot, and Monday it's egg aspiration. I don't know how long I thought this would take, but I definitely thought I would have more than 6 days on the repronex.
I'm so excited! ;D

How cool ;D, Happy Valentine's Day ;D Alas, I have only just turned in my application and am now waiting for the clinic to schedule my initial consult. Fortunately, that will be a working visit, with a mock transfer, bloodwork and s/a (don't want dh to feel left out : I am told that we can begin treatment the next cycle after the initial consult, so hopefully it will go fast once it is scheduled. After over three years ttc after our loss, I am getting older and less patient. It sounds like for you after a bunch of "hurry up and wait" it is suddenly upon you.

wloublue, Yes, I've been waiting for years and now it suddenly seems so sudden, lol. (Dh - now my ex-dh - and I were going to do ivf when we were married but he decided to buy a motorcycle instead.) It sounds like it won't be long until you're ready to start too. Are you getting apprehensive yet? The testing was nerve wracking for me. I did a lot of worrying while waiting for my 3-day FSH results to come back. mommy2mark, Thanks for wishing me luck this week! I was thinking the other day, Wouldn't it be awful to be the very first person going through this? To not have any one, any where to support and encourage you through infertility. No one who understood and had been there before. Someone was the First One. I'm glad it wasn't me. That must have been horrid. Thanks, gals!

Just checking on you sweetie. How's it going? Did they harvest the eggs? How many embies? When will you transfer? I remember the first "test tube baby" and what a fuss was made. That child has been in the media all her life, as has her younger sis, conceived the same way. I being the first baby would be worse. In fact, they just had her again in the news- she just had her first baby. And the whole world knows both she and her sis conceived "naturally". Hope you check in soon and share your news. ;D

wloublue, So sweet of you to think of me!
Retrieval went fine. 8 of 11 eggs fertilized (ICSI) normally. Today, the nurse called and said I have 8 "Code 1" embryos. I didn't know what that meant but she said Code 1 is the best score they (at their clinic) give for embryos. Yay! The doc will call me on my cell tomorrow morning (as I'm making the 3 hour drive to her clinic) to discuss how many to transfer. (Transfer is tomorrow.)
With the embryos being excellent quality, I think I'm only going to agree to transfer two. I think RE might push for three - and I might cave once I've had valium, lol. But right now I'm thinking just two.
Do you have an appointment for your initial consult yet?
