They will probably order lots of blood tests and ask detailed questions about your cycles. Depending on what they find in the blood tests, they may order more extensive testing. Hugs.

Heidi covered the basics... probably they will take a medical history and order bloodwork. I don't have much to add... just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you and to keep us updated after your appointment!

Renee, you sound like you're in the same boat I'm in. I've been pg 3 times this year and haven't been able to stay that way yet. I started having some testing done in August. Most of it has been bloodwork. After all of the bloodwork came out fine (no clotting disorders, no autoimmune disorders, thyroid levels good, and who knows what else they've tested for) I had an HSG done to rule out problems with the tubes or uterus shape. Just this week I had to to a glucose tolerance test (2 blood tests with a sugary drink in between). There are lots of things they can check for that are easily treatable. I hope they find something to fix for you. I think no one can understand the joy you experience when you're told you have something wrong with you like we can. I was on cloud nine the day I was diagnosed with PCOS. We're a nutty bunch, aren't we?

Renee, how did your visit go? After all we've been through, we've never been to an RE, though we've had lots of testing. Hope it went well and you have some new hope.
