Is depression linked to PCOS??? Just curious.

Not that I know of... but a lot of things related to PCOS can also be related to depression (like being overweight!). Thyroid issues can also cause depression (but I can't remember if those would be related to PCOS or not). Check out www.pcosupport.org for more info on PCOS!

Some doctors believe so, others will disagree. I don't think they've done any actual research on the subject.

Hi, Pcos is related to Depression, I've have PCOS since 2003 after the birth of my last Child. WE thought it was PPD when along it was pcos and other relations to it.
There are 2 Good books that I just completed. 1. What to Do When The Dorctor Says it's PCOS By: Milton Hammerly, MD & Cheryl Kimball 2.The PCOS protection Plan. how to cut your increased Risk of Diabetes, Heart Disease,Obesity and high Blood Pressure. By: Coletter Harris & Theresa Cheung
The second Book gives you helpfull hints of what to stay away from... I enjoyed both books.
