Hi
I was just curious as to what anyone may know regarding side affects of taking clomid. I have had three doses when my fertility doctor told me that i had developed a follicular cyst. (apparently it is a side affect of taking clomid). She told us to leave TTC that month and come back and see her after my next AF. In the light that we had been TTC for nearly 2 years we thought that it was highly unlikely that i would conceive and carried on our normal activities (so to speak LOL) Well you can guess the result and i am now 10wks pg. I still have the follicular cyst and they are monitoring it. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same? I do get some pain which worries the life out of me but have been told that this is normal from the cyst. Fingers crossed all goes well.

Hi,
I've taken Clomid many times and a cyst is one of the more common side effects because you are stimulating the ovary to produce more follicles (hence why it's called follicular cyst). I'm sure your doctor will be monitoring it, esp now that you are pg.
God Bless!

First congrats!
I understand that a thin lining can be a side effect of clomid. I think this is one reason that re's prefer that you not do too many cycles of clomid in a row.
