Thanks ladies! ;D
Right now, I'd love a surprise of a 30 lb loss! ;D
I joined the gym a couple weeks ago, and just signed up for a pilates class. (Group personal training, so VERY $$$ But it's my b-day! ;D)
I had some tests done at the dr this am. Hoping to get results from those soon. Funny thing about it was, when I explained all the things going on and my concerns, he said "have you heard of Poly-cystic..." I cut him of and said, "yeah, I have pcos, was dx over a year ago by my ob/gyn." So then when he mentioned treatment, (and I didn't even let him finish saying "glucophage") and said "I've been on metformin for a year." TOOO funny!!!!! Glad to know I have another dr in agreement about it though. BUT he thinks I may have more of a thyroid issue than the insulin resistance. Could be both, but if there is something else going on, I'd need to be treated for that too. So had fasting insulin, cholesterol, cbc, and thyroid...which was ordered after an u/s of my thyroid...(WEIRD! ) He said it was enlarged, but smooth. I've been told it's large since I was 10. Guess it's maybe bigger now, and warranting concern?
I'll let you know what I find out.

Your doctor sounds very thorough, hon. That's wonderful. Hey, maybe if your thyroid is off, it will solve some of the weight issues. One can hope, right? Happy Birthday again. Where is dh that you said you missed him? Heidi

Marsi....I have hypothyroidism too. I take 50 mcg of levothyroxin (sp?)...lol basically, synthroid. I'll be praying that the doctor's will be able to treat you quickly. Love, Dawn
