If anyone can relate a story of successful pregnancy after anorexia/bulemia, I would appreciate it. I tried on an eating disorder web site and didn't get any response. I'm worried about my daughter and wonder if there is little hope. Feel free to PM me. Love, Gina

I was anorexic, well, I had two serious boughts of it and got pregnant about...six months after the last one. My child was healthy when he was born, so was my next. Plus, while I was preggers with my daughter, I lost about 35 pounds, not FROM being anorexic, because I wasn't then, just from another illness I had at the time. I hope that helps some!

I was anorexic for many years before I had my daughter. My daughter gave me a reason to eat again. I ate, not for myself, but for her. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, hon.

Oh ladies, thank you so much for your replies (reg and PM). They do give me hope for my daughter and will help me to be more positive around her. I don't know exactly how long it's been since she had a normal period but it's at least 3 years.
She still doesn't eat what I would consider balanced meals but her weight is stable and her doctor is considering clomid. Maybe if she feels she really has a chance to carry a baby, she will decide to eat with nutrition in mind.
Thank you all again for relating some positive news about this. Overcoming an ED is a difficult thing, I know. Good luck to all of you! Love, Gina

I struggled with an eating disorder for 25 yrs of my life. I had only been in remission for like 2 months when I got pregnant. I think it saved my life. I thought always of the baby inside of me first. I did not eat for me. I ate for her. I have now been in remission for amost one year and dont ever want to go back. I want to have a healthy child. I lost my rist through placenta aburtputon and its very hard but I do want to try again
