Hello,
Was wondering if anyone out there has been told they have a "thin uterine lining"? I had an ultra sound done and mine is 4.9 - NOT GOOD! My Doc says usually at the lowest 6 and above will maintain a pregnancy (the higher the better).
If any of you ladies have had this and/or have any ideas or heard anything to "thicken it up" please advise.

Hey Janis ! You did not mention whether you have been taking any stim drugs. When I did IVF they gave me climavel (an oestrogen) specifically to build up my lining. Sometimes it's a question of getting the right drug and dose for you.
Also, I have heard that the herb 'agnus castus' does wonders to balance women's cycles. There is also acupuncture – where the therapist can work to direct a better bloodflow to the uterus.
Just a couple of ideas to think about.

P.S. When I was going thro the IVF and on the other chatboards I came across several testimonials from women who had been told that their lining was 'poor' and they went on to get pg!!

Talk to your dr about Progesterone suppositories!!!

I went through years of fertility traetments and one of my problems was my thin lining. Sometimes the stim drugs do help but my RE had me using 4 viagra suppositories a day while I was on the stim drugs. At the time, this was still considered experimental but I was willing to try whatever he recommended. It did seem to help thicken my lining. I got pregnant with twins on my third Ivf and my lining was only 6.7. I did miscarry a twin but delivered a healthy baby girl. Good luck!

I am jsut now going through artifical insimination but my lineing has improved since my first loss. I hope to get checked out again. all the luck to you. I hope it works out
