Hi girls! I frequently post on the ttc board and stillbirth board! I am not getting the replies I need on those boards and I have stumbled in here! I am sure that I can get a lot more advice and answers! Anyways! For some reason my husband and I have been unable to concieve the old fashion way! We actually we be ttc for three years this January! Out of pure luck we got pregnant with David but only after many years of trying! Only he was bornstill! We didn't use anything to concieve him either! Now we are struggling to walk down that very same road but this time we decided that we would take matters into our own hands! I have been taking clomid 50 mg on cd 5-9. I am on my third cycle of 50mg! Today makes cd 10 for me! I believe that I have been ovulating around cd 17-19 but..... I can't be 100% sure! I was charting and using OPK's but I just can't seem to stay on a schedule! I am ready to give up as far as this whole ttc thing is concerned but I can't stand the thought of never being a mother! So here is my questions? I want to pursue IUI! But I know nothing about it! I don't know what it will cost! Basically I am clueless about this whole thing! I want to go next month to my doctor prepared because instead of going on my last month of 50 mg of clomid I want to attack this more aggressively! And I want to have all my ducks lined up and ready to go when I get there on the 7th of December to tell my doctor what I want to do! She wants me to do a total of four rounds of 50mg clomid on cd 5-9 and then take a month off and do four rounds of 100mg cd 5-9 and take a month off and then decide from there- like tests and what not to figure out what is the hold up! I don't want to take any time off! I want to get pregnant and skipping a month to do nothing just seems pointless to me so I would rather just say! Nope I want to move on to something more advanced? Any information that anyone can provide would be very helpful!! PLEASE!! Thank you so much!!

I don't know much about IUI's. What is your diagnosis, if you don't mind me asking? I have pcos and take Metformin all the time and then took clomid (on days 3-7) when we were trying to conceive. Have you tried days 3-7 on clomid? My doctor tried to tell me to take clomid on days 5-9 (btdt many times before and had never conceived on those days, but humored him and of course... nada). I o'd somewhere between 17-19 too. Then I tried days 3-7. I o'd on day 13 and we conceived that month! We lost that baby (med. error ). But when we tried to conceive again, I took it days 3-7 and conceived my Sarah. (((HUGS))) and prayers, Dawn P.S. I never got my dr's permission to do that, but you might want to ask your doctor about changing your days. I was only on 50mg.

April, Sorry to butt in but I wanted to tell you that we got our bfp on Clomid days 3-7 also.My dr told me that there are lots of different combos of days to take Clomid so maybe a 'day' switch might help.We were dealing with secondary infertility after 3 pregnancies. I hope it happens for you so so soon hon! Love and peace, xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo me

Diagnosis!! HAHAHAHA I don't even think they know! I haven't really been diagnosed with anything at this point! Is "bad luck" a diagonsis!? So do think that if I just do a switch a roo next month and not say anything til I go back and it's done and over with that just maybe I could be lucky? I am such a wuss though! I will do as they say!

April, I have PCOS as well and clomid did not work for me no matter what dose. I did get pg with dd on my own but took 2 years with ds, and that was after injectables and 2 IUI in one cycle and I got pg the first try. With this baby we did the same thing injectables and 2 IUI'S I got pg first time. My dh has really good insurance and they paid for the whole thing but they only pay for three cycles. I do not know the cost but is way cheaper than IVF! I am on metformin now I could have tried the old fashion way but I knew this worked so we went with it. If you have any more questions I would be happy to share my experience with you. Good Luck!
