I just wanted to let everyone here know that I still hold you close to my heart. I remember the pain of infertility well. Sending a big hug to everyone out there whose heart is hurting. Heidi

Hi there...I came to know this board after I suffered a tubal rupture this past Aug. So I usually posted on the "I had a miscarriage" board. At the time, I was unaware that I lost my fertility along with my bean. Now a whole new world of troubles is in our path...but I am still hopeful through IVF. What is your story?

It took dh and I more than 5 years to have our first child. Then another 5 years passed and I was finally pregnant again. Unfortunately, I lost that child to miscarriage. I was diagnosed with PCOS shortly afterward. Almost exactly a year later, we conceived of a little boy who is now 2 years old. When my son was a few months old, my dh had a vasectomy. We have since come to regret it. We have a vasectomy reversal planned for Spring of next year. Heidi

Babygurl ... I, too, lost my tube to a ruptured ectopic. I still have my right tube, but through two hsgs we learned that it is partially blocked. After our ectopic, we did everything from charting and clomid to IVF. Sadly, none of these attempts produced a baby for us.
Now, through foster/adopt and a miracle, we are the parents of three beautiful babies. I look forward to getting to know you. I did just about every level of treatment out there, so please ask lots of questions. If I can't answer them, there are certainly others here who can.
In the meantime, I will be praying for you. Hugs,
Becca

I will try to shorten up my story as it is long. I suffered with infertility for 13 years (due to PCOS and Hypothyroidism). Finally in July 2003, we started a new treatment and were able to conceive, only to lose two babies to m/c (Nov. 2003 & July 2004). Long story short, I learned the hard way that I needed to stay on Metformin during pregnancy. On October 9th, 2004, after a combo of Metformin and Clomid, we conceived our precious miracle, Sarah Elizabeth. She is truly a gift from God. I understand the rollercoaster of emotions of infertility. Feel free to email or pm me if you need to talk. (((HUGS)))

Hiedi~ Thanks for your kind words and best of luck on the V reversal... Becca~ Wow what an emotional roller coaster. You must be overjoyed with your babies today I am happy for ya! Hey, Just curious, do you have any other complications besides tubal factor? Sorry for your loss. I am still coping with the loss of my fertility and bean as well. Next week I will start my first cycle of IVF and I am excited and nervous all at once. DH was so happy when we found out we were preggers the first time....now it's too scary for him to even imagine having a child, I suppose it's safer for him that way. Everything looks perfect except for my tubes That is what keeps us from conceiveing. The fact that we conceived before is a good sign. I've had two healthy pregnancies, so we have alot working in our favor...all but the complicated procedure IVF entails. I SO hope this will be the answer to our prayers. Doc's can only do so much..then we wait....for God's miracle!! Thanks ladies, for your kind words and support..I am here for you all as well!
