I'm trying to find other moms who have delivered babies with a prolapsed cord. I gave birth to my 3rd daughter, Gracelyn, by emergency C-Sec (July 05') after the discovery of the cord prolapse. She was born into a coma and died 5 days later. It's been very difficult finding other mothers with similar stories.

I just want to welcome you to SG -- it is a devastating thing to lose a baby. While I do not have the same story, I know many people here who lost their little ones due to cord accidents. I know that when I was in the hospital after my son was stillborn, one of the nurses told me (when I asked if something like this had ever happened before -- you just don't hear too much about stillbirths until you've had one) that just the week before I came in a woman had a prolapsed cord and the baby died before they could deliver. I know it feels like you are all alone, but we do share your grief here. I hope you can find some comfort here and if you would like to share more of your story, we would love to hear about your little girl.
Peace, Jen

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of sweet Gracelyn...she will be forever missed. It is always sad to have to welcome another mother to our group, but you will receive more love and support here than you can imagine.

I also wanted to express how sad I am for you. I did not have a prolapse, but a s/b from probably a blood clot. Let us know what you need from us.
