hi everyone, i found this site 3 years ago when we lost our baby boy, Austin Cole, at 33 weeks due to a blood clot in the cord. We now have a son that will be 2 on dec 21, but sometimes i still find it incredibly hard to get through the days. With the holidays coming around, i just was curious how you all remember your little ones at christmas, im just looking for some unique ideas....thanks, and god bless...

I'm sorry that it still hurts so much... I'm sorry that we all have to go through the holidays without our children. As for remembering MarieAnne and keeping her apart of our Christmas... I made her a stocking last year. I will place a letter to her in it, maybe something small (like a stuffed animal)... I plan to write a letter each year to her (they go in her scrapbook). We also plan to get a special ornament for her each year. Christmas just isn't the same anymore. MarieAnne's EDD was 1 Jan 2005, so I should be thinking of planning a 1 year old's birthday, instead of remembering the 80 minutes she was with us. The holidays are especially hard... and as you've said, even though you may go on to have other children, it doesn't make the ones in heaven any less important, or forgotten at all... Blessings, MarieAnne Elizabeth ~18 August 2004~ Born 5:20 am Died 6:40 am Born at 20weeks 5 days Born too early, gone to fast, But our love is strong, And our memories will last.

The time does fly, doesn't it? We do something similar to what Shar does. We buy ornaments for them every year, this seems to keep them a little closer around the holidays.

I dont know you very well but I want you to know I am sending you hugs for the loss of your little one three years ago. It has not even been one month for me and the saddness is hard. I think buying an ornament for the baby yearly is wonderful thing to do. I am glad you posted
