I thought that this may be worth looking into. I know there are quite a few people on the situation where adoption is their only option. Is there interest out there for a board like this to be added?

I'd like to see an adoption board too! Though dh and I already have a baby placed with us, I think this would be a great resource for both adoptive parents and those who are exploring that option. There are a lot of issues specific to adoption and those of us who are going through it are dispersed throughout the various boards and it's hard to keep contact with eachother. I know there are other chat forums geared to adoption, but there is a sisterhood here. We're all here because of loss(es) and have built bonds with eachother. I know I'd love to share my feelings, experiences, challenges etc. about adoption here, amongst my friends!  |

I would agree that if there is an adoption board, that it could serve for both those exploring adoption and adoptive parents wanting to discuss adoption issues and for those in the process as well. It need not be only for those persons who have found that adoption is their only family-building option. Many couples are able to conceive and carry a pg to term and are also called to adopt.

I think this would be great. Since the loss of Sarah, my dh and I can no longer have children; therefore, we have been discussing foster/adoption option.
