I was searching the old cached archives and I found this wonderful poem by one of our members that was posted on the old board. Not sure if that member is still a member but i wanted to repost her poem for all to share. Since she posted it publically before I don't think she would mind it being reposted on our new board.
Thank You, Silent Grief
By Erin McSparron
I found a special website
When I had to say goodbye
And I didn’t know the impact
It would have upon my life.
I signed up for the “Monday Hope”
And looked around the site.
A message board to fit my loss
Is what I found that night.
I’ve come to know it as a home
A place I fear no scorn
When on and on I need to talk
Of the loved one that I mourn.
It works because it’s give and take
Sometimes you need support
But other times you can give back
And help their feelings sort
For on this site I can be true
And say what I am feeling
Sharing with those who have been there
Has brought me so much healing.
No matter what I’m going through
Whether thoughts be understood
The people here give virtually
More than you’d think a stranger should.
So bless you, Clara for all you’ve done
To help us stop the silence
By teaming grievers up to help
And forming an alliance.
I doubt you know the mark you’ve made
And how many lives you’ve changed
One thing’s for sure your doing the work
That God must have arranged.

Lord, I wanted to hold my little boy on my lap and tell him about You.
Since I can't do that, will You hold him on Your lap and tell him about me?
