I was just wondering what is considered a page view?
If I pull up MAM forum but don't open any posts, is that a page view? Or is it only a page view if I open a post?
Also, does it keep track of all page views, or only those of members?
I haven't been surfing as much or reading as many posts b/c I didn't want to use up so many page views so I thought I'd get a clarification!
Thanks!!

Hi, Angie!
I wanted to make sure that I had the correct information before responding to your question. Truthfully, I was a bit unclear as to what was considered to be a pageview.
Whenever we click onto a page, it's a pageview. We don't have to post................so, browsing through the site does use up ad-free pages.
However, I did some more researching yesterday, and I'm trying something new. I have disabled the function for ALL pages to be ad-free. Our pages currently are not ad-free for guests. So, if you want to browse around the site and NOT use of ad-free pages, you can do that before you actually log onto the the site. Does that make sense? I hope I'm explaining it clearly enough.
I can already tell that we haven't used as many pageviews since I disabled the funtion for ALL pages to be ad-free.
We'll try this for a while and see if it helps.
Love, Clara

Thanks Clara!! I actually browse often before I log in so I'm glad to know that I can save the ad-free pages for those who it will really benefit!!

I think I got it??? I do All my browsing Before I login, so I can see the pictures & stuff......cause I chose not to see images, avatars, only names in the siggy's......we have "dial-up".......enough said! But......if I'm Not logged in, does it still count as a page view??? Did I just ask what was asked before?? small words, please.....small words ;D, remember who's asking! judiann

If you are NOT logged in you WILL still see the banner ads. Any viewing you do while NOT logged in will NOT count towards our ad free page views.
When you DO log in the ads should be removed from your view as long as we have enough ad-free dollars to pay for the ad free service.
Basically the ad-free has been changed so that only members who are logged in have the ads removed from their view. All other views by non-members or members who have not logged in yet do not count towards our ad-free views since they will still be viewing the ads.
Hopefully I didn't confuse anyone further.
