First of all, please remember my mother. So far, she is still doing well, but I cant help but wonder if she knows something that we do not. She has been inviting each of her children over for dinner, making it a point to come to my church (2.5 hours away) to hear me play piano, doing a lot more than usual, and then making comments that she wants to make sure she does all this because it will be her last Christmas. Now, my "head" tells me that she is just convinced of the worst...she thinks the Drs lie to her to make her feel better. One told her recently that her life expectancy has been shortened, which I think is where all this is coming from...However, he never said "you have 12 months to live". My "heart" worries though that maybe she DOES know something. Please pray for her, I am not even sure in what way.
Secondly, I just got a call from my friend a few minutes ago. her daddy passed away last night. he mother died of cancer when she was 7, so her dad raised her and her sister on his own. They found out two weeks ago that he had cancer, and then foudn something on his lung (cant rememebr what) anyway, he was intubated and then was told his cancer was untreatable. They disconnected his vent last night and he went to be with Jesus. My friend is 32 and feels so alone right now. I cant imagine. She could really use prayers, as well that my church is able to be her "family" during this time.
Blessings`
