My Grandfather that is, my moms dad!
I'm not very close to him or anyone on that side of the family, but still.
He was having chest pains on Friday and the doctor did a catherization on Monday. After what they saw, my Poppy will be in the hospital until they do the surgery. They are waiting for the Plavix to wear off before they can do it. So most likely Thursday or Friday he will have the triple bypass!
He has 7 blockages, one is 100% and there are several small ones, but the 3 main arteries in his heart are 95%, 95%, and 55%. Those are the ones that will be bypassed.
Please keep him, Ted, and my family in your prayers.

*Update* We found out that he will have the triple bypass on Thursday, the 17th! TOMORROW! I'm so scared. I have never seen my grandfather cry until last night. Just him, I, and my uncle were in the room and he was talking about how my uncle would have to make sure that someone watched over my grandmother, because she didn't need to stay alone. He was crying and saying that this surgery could go either way. Now, I'm not close to him, but I used to be. He was my favorite grandparent when I was little. I taught him how to drive (not really, I was only 4) and we used to go to the river to get sand EVERY time I would come over for my sand box. I'm so scared, I just have this feeling that things aren't going to be ok. Please keep us all in your prayers, especially my poppy and granny. (Ted and VA Rice).
*UPDATE* The doctor said that his blood still wasn't thick enough, so they are going to wait until Friday morning and do it. Thanks for the prayers!
