As many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with MS and a brain tumor (inoperable) last year. She now lives in a nursing home and is no longer able to walk or take care of herself. Dad and I make all her decisions, per her request. Anyway, the new news is that she was admitted to the hospital for emotional and behavioral issues on Wednesday night. They have changed her meds and are sending her back to the nursing home today. They are now suggesting that Dad and I see an attorney about becoming her legal guardians. This is so hard ... to be 36yo and parenting your own parent is just not right. Thank you all for your prayers. Becca

Becca, I am praying for you during this time....I havent had to be in your shoes, but I worry about it quite a bit. you are right....we shouldnt have to be concerned with these things at our age. I dont really know what to say, other than that I can sense how you are feeling and my thoughts are with you.
Blessings~ Wendy

It's Friday afternoon now ... mom is back at the nursing home. They changed her meds and got her an as needed antidepressant type med as well. She seems to be happier and more "with it." I talked with her for a bit on the phone and she seemed happy to hear from me. Thank you for all your prayers.

So sorry Becca. On some small level I can relate. My FIL isn't to the point your Mom is, but he is very depressed and anxious and so far has refused to get on an antidepressant. His thinking often seems so muddled and it's so frustrating to deal with him. And most of it falls to us b/c we live right across the road. (((HUGS))), prayers, and hope that Mom does well with the new meds. In Christ, Sara
