Any other comments ~ Lily had a twin (later named Casey) who was miscarried at 10 weeks. Lily was diagnosed with spina bifida at 16 weeks, and trisomy 18 at 18-19 weeks. She was born kicking and screaming at 37 weeks and lived for four short days. She was put on a ventilator from day 2 for spinal surgery, which she survived like a champ. On day four, we had to choose between removing the ventilator, knowing she may die from apnea, or leaving it in and watching her die more slowly from heart failure from her multiple heart defects. We removed the ventilator and she lived for more than 3 hours before she passed from apnea. Twenty minutes after passing, she came back: her eyes wide open and crying again. She stayed with us for another hour and then passed away. She was a feisty little miracle and is deeply loved and missed.

My sister found out he had passed on 3/16/2006, but he could have passed overnight 3/15/2006, because that is the last time she felt him move and which is why she went to get checked on 3/16/2006. We got to hold him and such, and was very beautiful, and even had hair. 2 lbs 11.6 ounces and 15 inches in length.

We love you David! Our little Angel.

One other note, he has a brother, Houston, about to be 3 June 3rd, 1 day after David's due date.

Any other comments ~ Mommy was hospitalized at 22 weeks with P.R.O.M., with the hopes of making it to 32 weeks at least. The morning of Tuesday, April 27, 2004, labor started and 15 hours later, Justin was born, pink and healthy looking. He was whisked off to the NICU. About 45 minutes later, we were told there was nothing they could do. Justin had pulmonary hypoplasia (his lungs stopped growing at 18 weeks). Our little man: 1 pound, 7.8 ounces and 12 1/2 inches long was brought to us. We held him, talked to him, watched him struggle to breathe, and heard him sigh. Shortly after baptism, at 2 hours old, Justin received his angel wings and he flew away to be with Jesus. All of us, his parents and his siblings: Matthew, 7, Allison, 3 and his new sister Kara, 5 months, miss him terribly.

We were blessed to be able to see our baby's heartbeat before "she" died (saw the heartbeat on 9-15-2004). We have only one ultrasound picture of our little Angel. We look forward to seeing both her and Justin when it is our turn to arrive in Heaven.

Karson was born at 26 weeks, after a horrible pregnancy. No autopsy was performed, and he died from apnea. However, it is believed that the true cause of his death was systemic infection.

what she passed from: Tristin passed from sepsis which is directing related to Neissaria Meningitidis. She was brought to Mercy Hospital at approx 11:00pm on sat June 18th. She had a fever of 104.7 but was eating still. She was a little fussy and didnt want to put down. Me and my mother left the hospital with her at 4:00am because the doctors said she probably just had a flu. We brought her home and she slept between us on the bed. At approx 6:30 am we were awakened by her moaning. I got up to make her a bottle, but I noticed she was making gulping noises that sounded unlike her. My mother opened the blinds in the room and we noticed she had dime size red dots all over her beautiful body and her lips were turning purple. In my panic I called Mercy Hospital and they told me to bring her in immediately. My mother drove while I sat in the back with her and tried to keep her from closing her eyes. The 15minute ride there seemed like a lifetime. When we arrived I carried her in and began to pound on the window for someone to help my baby. The ER nurse calmly opened the door and said he would check her vitals. As soon as he saw her face he took her from my arms and rushed her to a room. I was not allowed to go in with her. Approx. 8 docs worked on her for an hour pumping antibiotics into her and trying to stabilize the condition. In the meantime I made many frantic calls to family and friends. An ordained minister baptized my baby girl and prayed with my mother and I.
The docs then came out of the room and told me she was stable, but they would be transfering her to Childrens Hospital. We had HOPE. As my mother and I drove to Childrens and remembering telling my mom everything was going to be ok. When we arrived there we were told we could not see her because they were trying to revive her. They asked if we would like to go to the chapel or sit in a room. We went to the chapel and I prayed harder than I had ever prayed before. I made so many promises to God that if he only let her live I would give up everything else. At approx. 9:15am the doc came in and said Tristin had passed at 9:10am. My heart broke in a million tiny pieces. I screamed at him that I wanted my baby back. In the chapel with me was My brother Derek, my good friend Red, My mother and father, and her Grandpa Joe. Shortly after her passing the staff asked if we would like to hold her one more time. We said yes. I'll never forget how it felt to walk into that room and see my baby wrapped in a blanket and face covered with a sheet and knowing she was never going to smile at me again. Even though her body was now purple and lifeless she still looked just as beautiful to me. I still yearn for her everyday, however I've learned to cherish the memories of each glorious moment I had with her here on earth. God truly "blessed my broken road" with her life.

Any other comments ~ Rhianna was born with Cerebral Palsy due to doctors neglegence, it was pretty severe too. She couldn't walk or talk or even feed normally--g-tube fed. She had scoliosis due to the muscles being too tight. Despite all the crap thrown at her she was mostly a happy little girl who could still get anything from anyone. She was so beautiful and she touched many peoples lives. She passed in her sleep-who knew that kids with CP could die from SIDS later in life than 'normal' kids. I miss her so so so so so much.

I was pregnant with indentical twin boys. I had prom at 16 weeks. Ended up not going into labor or getting an infection. Had them at 26 weeks. Gavin weighed 1lb 9oz and Gabe weighed 1lb 15oz. Gavin eventually passed away from respiratory failure. After a lot of complecations Gabe made it.

There was extensive inflammation of coronary arteries and artery branches. He is my "handsome little man" and I miss everything about him!

she was so full of life , could become a friend w/ any one. loving little princess. there isn't a minute to a day that goes by that she is not w/ me in mind or heart. life hurts so much without her I am no longer complete. but life continues. and one day i pray she will be in my arms again.

AJ passed away at 5 weeks old. He had a fetal stroke. They are unsure if it happened inutero or during delivery. His entire brain was so severely damaged that only his brainstem was functioning. They predicted he'd live only a few days, but we were able to bring him home with hospice care and spend 5 wonderful weeks with him.

Any other comments I unknowingly caught a virus during pregnancy (human parvo virus) and it severely affected my unborn child. I became very ill and was taken into hospital. Two days later I was told that if I did not deliver my baby I would die. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make but I already had a son and could not leave him. I consented knowing she would die and had an emergency caesarean immediately. She lived for just short of 9 hours. I never got to see her alive as she was too ill to be moved and so was I.

Leah is sadly missed but she will never be forgotten.

Any other comments ~ We were bringing Mackenzie to school. We were T-boned in our van on a one-way when all side traffic had yield signs. She hit Riley's door and rolled us. We landed upside-down. Riley passed away immediately from head trauma even though CPR was performed. He was always so happy and energetic. I miss him so much !!!!!

Kyle was born to an HIV positive birth mother and he had health problems from the beginning. He was tube fed from 6 months old and was placed on IV nutrition (TPN) from 7 months. He also had a separate tube in his intestines. His mind was not affected. He also had an immune deficiency and autonomic dysfunction. In May 2004 he suffered from septic shock. He was without blood pressure for several hours. He ended up losing both of his legs, both thumbs and his bowel shut down completely. He went home 3 months later on a pain pump and unable to eat anything at all. He had an ileostomy and splenectomy in April 2006. But he was HAPPY and loved to make people smile. In the summer of 2006 his liver and kidneys began to shut down. By October he was placed on hospice. He spent most of November in the hospital but our doctors let us bring him home for his 8th and last birthday at home. He was home 36 hours before being readmitted to the PICU. He was home from Thanksgiving until Dec 10th. He was readmitted to the PICU and was released home on the 17th. Even though he was home we knew he was not going to be around much longer. We went into the hospital every day for multiple blood transfuses and potassium and phosphorus infusions. On Dec 26th, his blood pressure bottomed out again and he was squadded tot he hospital. We did not want him to die in the PICU so we went to the hospice room on the hemoc floor. They thought he would be around for another week or so. In typical Kyle fashion he didn't follow their rules. He went into respiratory distress caused by sepsis (overwhelming infection even though he was on 3 IV abx and an antifungal) 12/28 in the evening and passed away at 2:55PM on Friday December 29, 2006.
Not only was he my son but the love of my life. He had a special soul and a heart of gold. He never let his suffering get him down for long. He is known throughout the hospital for his smile, laugh and his flirting. He was quite the ladies man. We had no nursing care and him and I were together 24/7. In the last 2 1/2 years of his life since he went septic I was hardly ever away from him. I worked from home and my husband took over all the shopping and stuff. What I am saying is that not only do I miss him but I miss all the time we spent together. His medical care was so intense that we could not find a nurse that would take him on. He took IV meds every 3-4 hours around the clock, breathing treatments in addition to his O2, emptying his ileostomy, and constant monitoring of vitals.

Any other comments ~ Diagnosed with Ebstein's Anomaly, Atrial Septal Defect and Ventricular Septal Defect after death. Medical experts disagree as to whether these heart defects led to his death. Recovered from erratic sugar, oxygen levels and respiration after a week in the NICU. Then absolutely no signs of trouble even at his pediatric appt. 2 days before he passed. Always alert, happy and in no pain after leaving the hospital. We'll never know for sure why our little bear is no longer with us.

Kyle was playing in a tree at our neighbors house and he had a rope around his neck that was tied in the tree and he fell out.
I am new to this and am having a very hard time with the loss of my son. I am trying to learn to cope with everything but the emptiness inside of me is becoming to large to handle. See for 6 years I was a single mom and raised Kyle on my own and we had a bond that was unexplainable. I have a 1 1/2 year old and I am 20 weeks pregnant but the feeling for them is so different than it was with Kyle and for this I feel guilty. I just miss my little man so much.
