Well, I did my first official act of kindness this morning. I mean I've done lots of acts of kindness, but this one was anonymous. I was getting gas this morning. I was walking into the convenience store to pay and a lady came around the corner. She had just got off the bus, she didn't have a coat on, only a hoodie with the hat pulled up around her head. I went and got a cup of coffee. The lady came to the side of me and got herself a cup of hot chocolate. I went to the counter to pay. I told the lady at the counter that I will pay for the lady's hot chocolate. I told the lady just to tell the the woman that her hot chocolate was taken care of and to let her know it was in memory of my daughter Abbie. The lady's face behind the counter was priceless. She thought I knew the woman, she was in total shock. I just walked out and hurried and got into my car. I was shaking when I drove off. It was a little nerve racking. I don't know why, but after a few minutes the face on the woman behind the counter made it seem so worth it. It was a great feeling, honoring Abbie by doing something so small. Just thought I'd share. Your Friend in grief, DJ

DJ, What a beautiful thing to do...........you never, ever know how far and wide your one act of kindness will spread. I would encourage all of us to do one unsolicited act of kindness a day, and before long we will see enormous changes in the way we view life, our grief, and the renewed sense of hope in each day. Thank you for sharing. Love, Clara

That was beautiful DJ, I am sure the lady and Abbie were both warmed by your thoughtful gesture. Helping others in memory of our children, helps us. Thanks for your encouragment to do this. Pam
