Hi everyone... I'm new to the site... it's a pleasure to meet you all. I have a question... I had a D&C on Sept 21st at 14 weeks... It's been about 2 months post-D&C (2nd m/c but 1st d&c -- m/c'd naturally the first time) and it seems like the spotting has stopped (I spotted for about a month and a bit post D&C), but the my CM is still slightly brownish in colour (sorry, if TMI)... has anyone else experienced this? I got AF 1 month after the D&C... but still have brownish CM? Should I be concerned?

I am sorry for your loss. I wish I could help you but my 3 m/c were all natural. I would call the dr just to ask and make sure. I am sure you are fine.

Looking at your dates it looks like we were at almost the exact same points. I m/c on the 7th of Sept @ 12 weeks, D&C on the 8th (2nd m/c, 1st was natural w/ D&C later to make sure I was ok). I bled for about a week heavy & then another week or so light. My RE put me on birth control immediately JIC my body decided to work & I got pg back to back. They wanted to run all the possible tests before they let me do that I never really had the brown discharge, but you were farther along then I was & from what my dr told my dh - as far as I was made the D&C a lot worse than it normally would have been so yours would have had to have been rough. Did your Dr say anything at your follow up about it? I was still actively bleeding at mine but they said the birth control pills would help clear it up. I think that's the only reason mine has been any kind of normal . . . I'm still starting at 22 days though - as soon as the first "fake" pill starts I see AF. Are they going to let you go ahead & start ttc soon?

Hi, Welcome to Sg. i am sorry that you have to be here at all, but you've come to the best place.
I hae had 4 D&C's. Only one time did I experience the brown discharge for weeks. I think if your next cycle continues to be like that you should talk to your DR. , but for this soon after your D&C (at least for me) that is normal. The one time it happened my baby was 14 weeks as well. I had lost tons of blood because I tried to deliver it on my own and so abrasions or something took place and my dorctor said that could be causing the discharge.
Hope this helps. I fnot I can tell you more.
Tanya

Hi all, thank you so much for your replies... sleepiebeauty, yes, I was fairly far along, so that's likely why it's taken longer to heal... Tanya, you mentioned about abrasions... will that hurt my chances of conceiving again? I really want to have children.
