I remeber reading a while back on the old site that some of you had used ovulation tests as pregnancy tests. So last night I was so desperate that I pulled out the one remaining test stick I had left in my house after my poas maddness this month and it was a ovulation stick. Now I know I was grasping at straws at this point, but I was so frustrated, day 40 and still no AF. So I used the stick and a very definate second line apeared! So of course I tell myself that not to get my hopes up its probably a mistake, but in my madness I run out and buy another ten doller pregnancy test, which promptly turned out negitive. So my question is this, is it possible that I could be ovulating this late even though I was on clomid from day 3-9? or is it possible that I bought the pregnancy test and used it to soon, with in two hours of the first one, and my pee just wasnt strong enough yet? Sorry for the stupid questions, just wondering on others opinions. thanks Liz

Liz,
I really don't know much as I have never used clomid. Just wanting to say that I am glad that your doctor gave it to you (you had said that he had wanted you to wait a year), so that you can TTC.
On another note, I spent a fortune on HPT and LH sticks. Go to saveontests.com which is a North Vancouver company. Within 4 or 5 days of ordering you will receive ovulation sticks and HPT's for less than a dollar each. I bought from them successfully.
Good luck DOminique

Either one of your scenarios is possible, hon. When I got pregnant with my son, I ovulated twice...once when I should have and once when AF was due. It was the second time I ovulated that I conceived. This was confirmed by early ultrasound.
It's also possible that you're very early in a pregnancy and perhaps need to test again using your first morning's urine. I'm hoping the best for you.
